    This Product
Vintage Classic Ludwig double bass drum set from 1965.  This classic White Pearl Rock Duo drum set was purchased in the mid-1960s for play in garage bands in Topeka, Kansas…home of the famous band “Kansas”.  These drums have been kept in soft cases (included) for over 40 years for the protection and preservation of their original finish.  The owner was a drummer for “The Vegetables” rock group.  This drum set can be played as a double or single bass with double toms and all hardware to set it up in either configuration is included (see pix).  The second bass needs a drum head but otherwise, the entire setup is as it was in 1965. The bass drum pedals and high-hat hardware is not serviceable and not include since much better 21st Century hardware is available.  This nearly 50-year-old drum set is in remarkable condition for a drum set that has been packed and unpacked for 10 years (until about 1975).  Otherwise, these drums have been kept in their original cases until now.  The drums are sold “as is” and the owner has kept these drums for 50 years in storage since he hated to part with them.   Zildjian cymbals from this period are available as well, and these are sold separately.  This drum set is truly a treasure and was a special order by the owner in the 1960’s while the owner was in high school.  These drums will be sold to the highest bidder since the owner has kept them for 50 years, and doesn’t mind waiting another 50 years to sell them.
