The XTRAMAN Stand-In Batter was developed by GoSports in collaboration with professional baseball and softball coaches and players to deliver the most valuable training aid for pitchers of all abilities. In the past pitching drills have posed safety risks for stand-in batters - making it difficult to replicate real game scenarios, but the XTRAMAN is the newest and only stand-in batter to accurately simulate the size and shape of a real player in the batter's box - which holds many player benefits. As many coaches know, bad habits can develop quickly and can be difficult to undo. That's why simulating a real batter during pitching drills can greatly benefit players of all abilities and skill levels. Developing a greater sense of command on the mound and learning the boundaries of the strike zone carries over to greater player confidence and performance during the game.
